The mission of the Amesbury PTA, in common with those of the National PTA, is threefold:

  • To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children.
  • To rein the standards of home life by assisting parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children.
  • To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

The second PTA General Meeting of the year will take place next Wednesday, March 17th, 6:30 PM at Amesbury Elementary School. Come and meet other parents, hear what the PTA has been up to this year, or sign up to volunteer for one of our events.  There are many volunteer opportunities, some with smaller time commitments than others.  Bring the kids to the meeting!  Babysitting is offered, free of charge!  Please contact Sherri Ziomek, saziomek@msn.com, 978-388-6976 for more information.   Hope to see you there!

Yankee Candle Spring Fundraiser

Yankee Candle Spring Fundraiser:  Our Spring Fundraiser I winding down.  Orders are due back to the school this Friday, March 12th.  Every student that submits orders will be included in a raffle for some fun prizes from Yankee Candle.   There is a folding telescope, flashing orbit balls, cyclone paddles, voice changer, and a magic set--so be sure to submit some orders and you'll be included in the raffle!   If you have any questions, please contact Lara Heline at lheline@yahoo.com

Save the Date!!!  The Amesbury PTA is pleased to offer a discounted outing to CoCoKey Water Park for
AES and CES students and their families (extended family may come too!)
Sunday, March 21st ~ 10 am to 3 pm
CoCo KEY WATER RESORT at the Crowne Plaza Boston North Shore in Danvers
Cost:  Only $25 per person (Tickets are normally $30 per person.)
