The mission of the Amesbury PTA, in common with those of the National PTA, is threefold:

  • To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children.
  • To rein the standards of home life by assisting parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children.
  • To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

  • Science Fair
  • Ice Cream Social
  • Family Fun Fair
  • Mother-Son Dance
  • Vacation Events: (swimming, bowling, roller skating, movies)

The PTA offers an After-School Enrichment Program - Last year 454 students enjoyed 36 classes such as:

Calling All Chefs!

The PTA is designing a cookbook of the favorite recipes of people in our community.  Submit an "old standby", something you have cooked for the Teacher Appreciation in the past, or something you would like to make for the teachers in the future.  Our hope is to have these cookbooks available to purchast.  Please submit recipes to Jane Hoggard, jhoggard@mfsloan.com or send it in with your child in an envelope marked "PTA Cookbook."  Thanks!

Rollout of new Shaw’s program:

 

Thank you to everyone who has submitted Shaw’s Supermarket receipts over the past year.  We are thrilled to announce that the PTA has earned $440 through this program!!!  Shaw’s and Star Markets have simplified their Neighborhood Rewards program.  Instead of submitting shopping receipts, you and your friends/family can register your shopping rewards card and identify “Amesbury PTA” as the recipient of a percentage of your purchases.
