The 2010 Convention of Science Superheroes is coming Saturday, February 27th! The Science Fair guides are out and the Science Proposal Boxes will be making their way into your school office this week. If you sent in a request for a guide, you should be receiving one this week. You may also download your own guide, download just the proposal forms, or even enter online and save some trees on the PTA website - www.amesburypta.org. Please remember the deadline for entries is coming up fast - all proposals must be entered on or before Friday, January 29th. Questions? Email Julie at sciencefair@amesburypta.org.

Yankee Candle Spring Fundraiser: Our Spring Fundraiser I winding down. Orders are due back to the school this Friday, March 12th. Every student that submits orders will be included in a raffle for some fun prizes from Yankee Candle. There is a folding telescope, flashing orbit balls, cyclone paddles, voice changer, and a magic set--so be sure to submit some orders and you'll be included in the raffle! The second PTA General Meeting of the year will take place next Wednesday, March 17th, 6:30 PM at Amesbury Elementary School. Come and meet other parents, hear what the PTA has been up to this year, or sign up to volunteer for one of our events. There are many volunteer opportunities, some with smaller time commitments than others. Bring the kids to the meeting! Babysitting is offered, free of charge!
