Shaw’s receipts has changed, instead of receipts, members will register their rewards card online and it will take care of itself – Dee.

Possibility of organizing/selling elementary school yearbooks, Sherri will do initial investigation and bring it up at general meeting to try to get someone new to take ownership of it as a PTA project.

Science Fair – Julie

106 kids entered/76 projects. Tshirt sale pre-sale at $8 sold 43 sold 1 at $10.  Julie handed off pre-sale money to Dee.   Still need door prizes, she may go to Walmart/Marshalls to buy some..  Entertainment Curious Creatures and Mr. and Mrs. Fish.  One class from Cashman will do their project at drop-in.  She has invited science honor society, and teachers to volunteer, and trying to get more community involvment in judging and volunteering.

Budget – Dee

Budget handed out and gone over, we are in good shape.

Every year we give accountant gift, we will continue with $50 gift, it is already in the budget.   We will put budget up on the website.

Inschool  Programming - Dee

In-school programming, spent only $1100 this year.  Techsploration program run every year  for 3rd grade at AES, but that will put them over their budget, should be fund it?

Vote to fund Techsploration for grade 3 at AES even though they will go over their in-school programming funding.  Unanimously approved.

Afterschool Enrichment - Sherri

Spring ASE signups March 3rd from 6-7pm at AES.  The good news, we have more offerings especially at Cashman, the bad news, Janet has a conflict to do the data entry for spring, so we will look for someone else to do it.

ACE – Sherri

ACE committee has worked hard to work out the awards.  There is a question of partial funding and whether some money from one school can be used toward another.  It was discussed and agreed upon to fund each school at $2500 as in the guidelines of the Grant Application, which includes partial funding for projects at both schools.

There was a discussion that in the future the ACE grant process should have a bigger committee and a rubric of criteria for how to award the grants that is included in the grant application.  Let’s have the current ACE committee meet at the end of the year to set the future criteria.

Vacation Activities – Lisa

What to do about no-shows, we were turning people away, and in the end there was a significant number of no-shows for February vacation events.

April vacation roller-skating, hike, and craft.
