After School Enrichment – Spring 2010

Please NOTE that the abbreviated class list that went out with the poly had a mistake the Cooking for Kindergarten at CES was listed as a Monday class, this is incorrect it is a Wednesday class.  The correct information is listed in the class list information on this website.


Sign up night for classes will be Thursday, March 11th from 6-7 at AES.

We are pleased to announce a broad variety of classes in both elementary school locations for this session. The attached page lists the classes we are offering for the spring session.  In order to save a vast amount of paper, we have only included only the basic information about these classes, but full descriptions may be found on the PTA website listed below and copies will also be available in the school offices.

If you are unable to attend the sign up night, you may register for any open class on the PTA website beginning at 9:00am on the following day. Placements into open classes will be made based on availability.  Registration for all classes will end on Sunday, March 14th.

Classes are 4 weeks long, beginning the week of March 29, and ending the week of April 26th  (the week after April vacation).   Class time is 3:15-4:15 pm unless otherwise noted in the class description. Karate dismissal will be at 4PM .  Stretch and Yoga Fun at CES will also dismiss at 4 PM.

We are pleased to again be offering classes specifically for Kindergarten students which will start immediately after K-dismissal.  Note: The Kindergarten children would meet the instructor in the main office at 1:30 and proceed to a classroom for the activity.  The children would either be met by parents at 3:00 dismissal or with written permission the child could be placed on the 3:00 school bus with the Grade1-4 children for a ride home.  The K students would get off at the neighborhood bus stop. 

PTA does NOT provide transportation to or from classes. Kindergarten students and students taking a class at another school must find their own transportation for 3 PM classes. All children must be picked up by 4:20.  Dismissal for most classes at CES will be from the cafeteria, not the main office.

The tuition for all classes will be $25 for non-PTA members and $20 for members.  Some classes include an additional materials fee.  Consider becoming a PTA member!  Membership forms will be available at signup night or you may download a form from the website listed below.

Please note that due to the early release day on Wednesday, March 31st, Wednesday classes will run for 3 weeks only, with a reduced tuition rate of $20 for non-members and $15 for PTA members, plus any additional materials fees.

*Please note that the PTA reserves the right to cancel a class if it is insufficiently enrolled.
