Teachers Needed for Fall 2008 After School Enrichment Programs

The PTA is looking for instructors interested in teaching a class in the Fall Session of the After School Enrichment Program.

Each session runs for five weeks and instructors are paid a stipend of $250 for each session taught. Instructors would teach a class on a topic of interest one afternoon a week for the five weeks. Classes will be starting the week of October 2 and ending the week of November 17. Suggested class hours are 3:15-4:15 PM. Please contact Cindy Russell, jaside@comcast.net or 978-834-3099, by October 1st if you would like to teach a class during this session. Please provide a brief description of the class, maximum class size, and any other requirements (limiting participation to certain grade levels). Please indicate any preferences you have aout which day/s you would be available to teach, and let us know if there are any materials that would need to be purchased for the class. Please note there is no school on Monday, November 10 and Tuesday November 11. If you choose to teach a class on either of these days, you have 2 choices - you can teach a 4 week session ($200 stipend), or extend the session until Thanksgiving week, ending class on Monday, November 24 or Tuesday, November 25.

The Annual Fall Fundraiser is underway. Help support the PTA by joining the fundraising effort. The elementary school class with the most money made, will enjoy a pizza party!

The event starts September 17, 2008. All orders must be returned by October 8, 2008.

October General Meeting and Kindergarten Parents Meet and Greet

Babysitting and refreshments are provided.

If you are a kindergarten parent come early at 6pm to meet with other kindergarten parents to socialize and find out what the PTA can do for you and your child, and what you can do to help the PTA!

Save your Shaw's receipts! The Amesbury PTA has recently enrolled in the Shaw's Receipt Rewards Program. Anytime you, or a friend or a relative shops at Shaw's or Star Market's, just turn in your receipt to the envelope at AES or CES. The PTA will earn a percentage of the total receipts we turn in.
