The annual PTA Family Fun Fair is scheduled for Saturday, March 10th from 10 am to 2 pm at the Cashman Elementary School. The fair is a low-cost family event full of games, crafts, food, face painting, dessert walk game, fantastic raffles and much more! We are excited to announce that many of the games will be MINUTE TO WIN IT games!!!

The Museum of Science will be putting on Night Sky shows in their portable planetarium and the New Hampshire Astronomical Society will have some telescopes set up outside to view constellations and Jupiter.
If you are interested in participating in a Night Sky show, please e-mail Sara Graham at sara@grahamworld.com with the number of people in your party (children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult) and your preferred show time
(6:15, 7:00, or 7:45 pm).
We will do our best to accommodate everyone, but please understand that seating in the planetarium is limited.
No reservations necessary for the telescopes.

After School Enrichment Class Offerings

PERLER BEADS/FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS: Create your own design with perler beads or make friendship bracelets with gimp, string, or pony beads. The children will have all crafts available to them every week so they can do what they like best. Perler beads use plastic beads on a shaped peg board. Once the design is complete, the instructor will iron it so the fuse beads stick together in a take-home creation. Choose from many shaped peg boards including: shapes, animals, flowers, etc. Taught by AES parent Gail Browne. *There will be a materials fee of $2.*

LEGO CLUB: Come build with legos afterschool with your friends! A lot of fun and a great way to build on those fine-motor skills. Taught by AES parent Gail Browne.

Teachers Needed For Afterschool Enrichment Classes

The PTA is looking for instructors interested in teaching a class during the Winter Session of the After School Enrichment (“ASE”) Program. This session runs for five weeks and instructors are paid a stipend of $250 for each class taught. As an ASE instructor, you would teach a class in a topic of interest to you one afternoon each week for the five weeks. Classes will be starting the week of March 5^th, 2012 and ending the week of April 2^nd, 2012. Class hours are from 3:15-4:15 pm. (Please note: there is an early release day on Thursday, April 5^th and no school on Friday, April 6^th. If you are offering a Thursday or Friday class the session would run for 4 weeks with a stipend of $200.)

Now through March 29, 2012, Amesbury Elementary and Cashman Elementary will have the opportunity to earn cash through the Stop&Shop A+ School Rewards Program.
                                                          All you have to do is:
Log on to www.stopandshop.com/aplus to register online
                                                           OR
Dial 1-877-275-2758 to register your card over the phone
After your card is registered, each shopping trip at Stop&Shop using your Stop&Shop Card earns CASH for the school. Each month, the amount of CASH awarded will be updated on the Stop&Shop website. You can track the amount of points you earn by checking your grocery receipt and online when you create an account at stopandshop.com. The school office will receive a check at the end of the program.
